Funny how the Supreme Court defends its controversial decision in letting President Arroyo appoint the next Chief Justice despite the express ban stated in the Constitution.
“The Chief Justice will not be beholden to the appointed president.”
What a crass statement coming from the Arbiter-of-Truth-body in this country.

I could start by saying that their decision is already an act of being “beholden” to the appointed president, as they are appointees of the president herself. They are already doing her bidding but doing whatever is advantageous to her, regardless if it's morally sound or not! Of course you can't argue with the Supreme Court that what they're doing is unconstitutional, they're the Supreme Court! They decide what's unconstitutional or not!
How blind can they get? Are they underestimating Arroyo’s uncanny capability of getting whatever she wants? As they are Arroyo's appointees, are they complicit to her scheme already?
